Battle Of The Brews, Delaware State Fair

The 3rd annual Battle of the Brews will be held at the Delaware State Fair on July 19th, 2014. It is billed as a BJCP sanctioned event. There is no mention of AHA membership beings required, but as always, the club encourages you to join the AHA via our referral link!

Registration ends on June 1st so get to the registration page post haste! The cost for entry is $5.

B.I.E.R learned about this event from the folks at Xtreme Brewing in Delaware, which just happens to be the drop off spot for your entries. The beer can be dropped off from June 28th to July 6th at any of their locations in Delaware.

At least one B.I.E.R member has already signed up, so a group delivery of bottles will be possible for those not wanting to make the drive their self's.

Here are some details:
-Register online between April 1, 2014 and June 1, 2014 via the Battle of the Brews Entry Form(fee is $5).
- The state fair will mail two entry tags for each entry. Submit two plain 12oz bottles with an entry tag attached to each bottle with a rubber band.
- Voodoo hexes will be placed on contestants that attach bottle labels with clear tape, masking tape, glue, putty, mod podge, wire, or anything else that isn't rubber and band-like.
- Fill out an Entry/recipe form and submit along with your entry at any Xtreme Brewing location or one of the other drop off locations between June 28th and July 6th.
- This is a BJCP sanctioned competition. Beer will be judged according to the BJCP Style Guidelines.
- Please use the guidelines to choose the appropriate beer style when you register online.
- Fill out the Entry / Recipe form and Bottle ID form as completely as possible. Special ingredients and base styles are required for certain categories (listed on entry sheet). Complete recipes are not required.
- Competition is open to non commercially brewed beer only.
- Mead and Cider will not be accepted in this competition.
